What is Mental Skills Coaching?

Mental Skills Coaching focuses on helping pilots achieve their personal and professional goals through the cultivation of mental skills training for performance. The work focuses on exploring obstacles to change, creating and maintaining motivation for change, and creating and executing specific and targeted strategies for change. Coaching offers clients a structured plan of action. This includes “homework assignments” of various kinds that help you practice new skills and strategies outside of your sessions.

The fundamental presumption of coaching is that clients are healthy mentally and emotionally and are ready to receive directed guidance and instructions on how to make the necessary changes that will help them achieve their goals.
